The Process

Before Treatment

First, your MedSpa Technician will evaluate your complete medical history to determine if you are a good candidate for treatment. Then, they’ll perform a comprehensive facial examination to determine which areas of your face may benefit from microneedling. Your MedSpa Technician will work with you to address your concerns and create the best treatment plan for you. They will also explain the procedure in detail and give you an idea of the results you can expect.

Treatment

Your MedSpa Technician will begin the procedure by applying a topical anesthetic to reduce any pain, if necessary. Next, small pricks will be made under the skin. The pricks are generally painless and help create new collagen, smoothing your skin.

Post Treatment

You may experience redness and irritation for 12-48 hours after treatment. A breathable, mineral makeup can be applied to seal the skin and camouflage redness. You should be able to return to work or home immediately. Results can be seen immediately and usually last four to six weeks. To achieve best results, we recommend 4-6 additional sessions.

Your MedSpa Technician will use a microneedling device which consists of 12 microscopic needles, to create tiny punctures in the skin’s surface. This process causes micro-trauma, which ultimately stimulates the production of new, healthy collagen.

We recommend that you begin a regimen of creams, such as Vitamin A, C or Resveratrol Procyanidin to strengthen your skin before Microneedling. Your MedSpa Technician will discuss the Pre- and Post-procedure protocol with you prior to your procedure.

The microneedling procedure typically takes about 30 minutes to complete. You will see results after the first treatment, but we recommend 4 to 6 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart) to achieve more significant results.

There is very little pain associated with microneedling. So, most patients don’t require any form of anesthesia. In some cases, a topical anesthetic cream may be applied 15-40 minutes before the procedure.

Yes. Microneedling is a simple procedure with little to no downtime. You can return to work or home immediately after your procedure.
