Abdominal Etching

Many people workout intensely in an effort to obtain a defined, sculpted stomach. But, despite their unwavering commitment and best efforts, some simply find it impossible to attain chiseled, “six-pack” abs.

At The South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, our board-certified doctors can enhance your abdominal area through Abdominal Etching surgery and help you achieve the look you desire. Our center is one of only a few in the South Florida area that offer abdominal etching surgery, and we’ve built a strong reputation for providing natural, high-quality results.

Our surgeons use liposuction to remove that “problem” fat that won’t go away with diet and exercise to accentuate the abdominal muscles and create a six-pack that is ready to take to the beach.

Starting at $3,999

  • Contour and define the abdominal area, creating the appearance of abs.
  • Achieve tighter abdominal skin.
  • Minimal to no scarring.
  • Create a more athletic physique and overall appearance.

The cost of abdominal etching surgery depends on several factors, including the complexity of the procedure and the amount of fat that will be removed. We offer abdominal etching starting at $3,999, not including anesthesia or surgeon fees.

The South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery is committed to helping our patients find the most convenient payment method for their procedure. We work with three third-party financing companies to offer flexible payment plans with instant approval based upon your credit score.
Through our network of experienced physicians and vendors and our agreements with competitive lenders, we’re confident that we can find a payment option that suits your lifestyle.

    The Abdominal Etching Process

    Consult

During your initial visit, expect to provide your complete medical history, including all your medications, allergies, and previous surgeries. You’ll also undergo an extensive physical exam and blood tests before your surgeon takes photographs to aid in planning and performing your abdominal etching surgery. Finally, you’ll receive important instructions to prepare for treatment as well as a realistic explanation of the results you can expect to achieve.

    Procedure

Abdominal etching surgery is performed by breaking up and precisely removing abdominal fat. The abdominal muscles are then sculpted to enhance definition and achieve the desired appearance. Your surgeon will suture the skin at the incision site and apply a bandage.

    Recovery

After surgery, you will experience some discomfort once your anesthesia wears off. Our goal is to keep you as comfortable as possible. So, your surgeon will provide you with medication to mitigate your pain and soreness.

    Post Surgery

Your surgeon will give you a support garment to wear for 1-3 weeks after surgery. Stitches can be removed 5-7 days after surgery. You will notice a difference in the contour of your abdomen almost immediately but, it will take 2-4 months for swelling to completely disappear and reveal your results.

Your initial visit with your surgeon will help you prepare for your procedure and get an idea of what to expect during recovery. Your surgeon will also perform a complete physical examination, take blood tests, and take photos of your treatment area during the consultation. Feel free to talk to your doctor about the exact look you are hoping to achieve and any questions you have about your procedure.

Operating time is generally two hours, depending on the total volume of fat being removed, but you can expect to be at our surgery center for 4 to 5 hours.

Yes. However, it will be necessary to have someone transport you home and monitor you for at least 24 hours.

Most patients can return to work and resume normal activities within a week.

During surgery, your fat cells will be removed. Your body cannot produce new fat cells, so if you gain weight, any fat gained will be evenly distributed over your entire body as opposed to building up in a specific area.

Our professional M.D. Anesthesiologist administers general anesthesia for all surgical procedures.
