Everyday facial movements from laughing, smiling, and squinting paired with the inevitable effects of aging can create unwanted furrows, wrinkles, and lines over time. Forehead lines and wrinkles can leave you looking tired, worn and a lot older than you actually are.
Fortunately, a simple Brow Lift procedure can diminish lines and wrinkles, giving you a smooth, youthful appearance. Brow Lifts, also referred to as Forehead Lifts, can be performed on an outpatient basis, with patients leaving our office in just 3-4 hours. Results generally last five to ten years, which is one reason why many patients also elect to undergo eyelid and/or neck lift surgery in addition to a brow lift. Recovery time is minimal and there are few if any side effects.
A Brow Lift procedure involves manipulating and adjusting the tissue and skin beneath your forehead and eyebrows. Your procedure will be performed by an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon using one of two surgical procedures–the classic brow lift and endoscopic brow lift. Your surgeon will discuss these techniques with you during your initial consultation and help you decide which is best for you.
The cost of a Brow Lift depends on several factors, including the technique used for your surgery. Your actual cost will be determined during your initial consultation. The South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery is committed to helping our patients find the most convenient payment method for their procedure.
We work with three third-party financing companies to offer flexible payment plans with instant approval based upon your credit score. And, through our network of experienced physicians and vendors, and our agreements with competitive lenders, we’re confident that we can find a¬†payment option that suits your lifestyle.

During your initial visit, expect to provide your complete medical history, including all your medications, allergies, and previous surgeries. You’ll also undergo an extensive physical exam and blood tests before your surgeon takes photographs to aid in planning and performing your Brow Lift. Finally, you’ll receive important instructions to prepare for treatment, as well as a realistic explanation of the results you can expect to achieve.
During your Brow Lift, your surgeon will make either one long incision (classic brow lift) or several small incisions (endoscopic brow lift), and adjust and/or remove the underlying forehead tissue to create your new, rejuvenated appearance.
After surgery, you will experience some discomfort once your anesthesia wears off. Our goal is to keep you as comfortable as possible. So, your surgeon will provide you with medication to mitigate any pain and soreness. You should rest and remain relatively inactive for the first two days after your procedure and should plan to continue relaxing for about a week but can gradually begin to increase your level of activity.
After surgery, your incision will be closed with stitches or clips and your hair and your face will be washed to minimize irritation. Your incision will then be covered with gauze padding, and your head will be wrapped with an elastic bandage.
Brow lift surgery can be performed using either a classic or endoscopic approach to adjust and/or remove underlying forehead tissue to smooth and minimize lines and wrinkles.
Classic Brow Lift: Your surgeon will use an incision that resembles the shape of a head-set starting at about ear level and running across your forehead, down to the other side.
Endoscopic Brow Lift: Your surgeon will make four or five small incisions (less than 1 inch in
length) in your scalp, then insert an endoscope through one of the incisions to perform the
procedure.
Your initial surgical consultation will help you prepare for your procedure and get an idea of what to expect during recovery. Your surgeon will also perform a complete physical examination, take blood tests, and take photos of your treatment area during the consultation. Feel free to talk to your doctor about the exact look you are hoping to achieve and any questions you have about your procedure.
Forehead lifts normally take one to two hours, but your actual surgery time will depend upon the complexity of your procedure. You can expect to be at our surgery center for 3 to 4 hours.
Our professional M.D. Anesthesiologist administers general anesthesia for all surgical procedures.
