Our virtual consult process can save you time and trip to Miami, by allowing you to complete the process virtually. Afterwards at the initial surgical consultation expect to provide your complete medical history, a list of all current medications, any allergies, and any previous surgeries. Photos and video will be reviewed by our plastic surgeons to determine the best surgical plan for you. Once you place your surgery deposit and have a date to have surgery with our center in Miami, you will need to undergo an extensive physical exam, blood testing, and an informed consent process. Our experienced and highly trained staff take photographs to aid in planning and performing your Breast Reduction Surgery. You will also be given instructions to prepare for your procedure, including precautions regarding certain medications, alcohol consumption, and detailed hygienic protocols.

Here at our state of the art surgical center in Miami, FL, all surgeries are administered after general anesthesia from a board certified anesthesiologist M.D.. Your plastic surgeon will make strategically-placed incisions to mitigate the appearance of scarring, then remove excess fat tissue using a liposuction technique as well as other breast tissue glands with a scalpel. Excess skin may also be removed and/or the nipples repositioned to create a natural, more lifted chest. Afterwards sutures are placed, surgical dressings and  compression bandages are applied.

Due to the nature of the procedure on the chest, there is some expected soreness after the initial procedure. A specific management plan for comfortability will be discussed with your surgeon and our staff to make sure you are as comfortable as possible in your recovery. Specific plans for recovery and timelines for returning to normal function will be discussed between you and your surgeon depending on the depth of your procedure.

Many people recover initially 1 week post-surgery. During your extended recovery the following 4-6 weeks depending on what your surgeon says, it is important that you avoid exercise and any strenuous activity. The schedule for follow-up office visits are 1-day, 1 week and 1 month after the procedure. After these appointments, your plastic surgeon will advise of any additional appointments and any further instructions post-procedure with you.
